    Abstract: After nearly a decade of development, the document construction of the China Tourism Academy has taken shape and has formed a certain academic reputation and influence. Regarding the construction ideas and methods of the National Tourism Document Information Center, the degree of functional perfection and utilization effect, and how to achieve sustainable development in the next step, President Dai Bin pointed out that historical awareness and academic mission are the fundamental internal driving forces of document construction; professional libraries, special archives and boutique museums in the tourism field are both the construction goals and construction contents of the document center; the construction of the document center requires a venue, continuously improved content, and professionals who are willing to contribute their talents.

    Report on major tourism economic data in the first half of 2018

    Abstract: In the first half of 2018, the national tourism consumption demand was strong, the whole-region tourism focused on a better life, the integration and innovation of tourism with culture, creativity and technology attracted much attention, and the trend of quality improvement and performance improvement became more and more apparent. Domestic tourism grew steadily, the inbound tourism market was stable with a slight decline, and the outbound tourism market developed steadily. The number of domestic tourists reached 2.826 billion, an increase of 11.4% over the same period last year; the total number of inbound and outbound tourists reached 141 million, an increase of 6.9% over the same period last year.

    2018 China Summer Vacation Tourism Big Data Report

    Abstract: The 2018 China Summer Vacation Tourism Big Data shows that since June, 50% of domestic tourists have chosen summer vacation products; the summer vacation tourism market continues to be hot and shows a "four upward" trend, namely, the willingness to travel for summer vacation continues to increase, the travel radius is further expanded, the per capita expenditure budget is increased, and the attention to summer vacation and health preservation is increased; Chongqing, Xi'an and Wuhan are the three cities with the highest summer vacation tourism growth index and expenditure in the ranking of the top ten "hot" cities.

    China's Provincial Free Travel Big Data Series Report: East China

    Abstract: The data report on free travel in East China shows that among the eight provinces and cities in East China, Shandong had the largest increase in tourism popularity in 2017, with a year-on-year increase of 210%; followed by Jiangsu, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Taiwan and Anhui, with increases of more than 150%; Shanghai has always been a popular tourist destination, and its growth rate did not change much, only increasing by 109%.

    Chongqing: Accelerating the construction of tourism data center with the support of big data

    Abstract: Since 2016, Chongqing Tourism Data Center has accelerated the construction of the Tourism Data Center with the support of big data, from the construction of central institutions and teams, the construction of the whole-region smart tourism cloud platform, the sharing and exchange of tourism-related data, and the construction and measurement of tourism statistical indicator systems, and has achieved initial results. The next step will be to continue to improve the construction of the "Chongqing Whole-region Tourism Cloud" platform, deepen the research on special topics of tourism statistics and data, and accelerate the innovation of tourism statistics mechanisms.

    UnionPay Business: Tourism consumption big data technology architecture and application scenarios

    Abstract: Based on the massive transaction data of its own 7.7 million merchants and 9 million terminals, as well as the original user algorithm, UnionPay Business has launched the first tourism consumption big data analysis system, covering various consumption scenarios such as online and offline, card swiping and code scanning, food, accommodation, travel, shopping and entertainment. Under the premise of complying with the national security management regulations on the use of personal information, it accurately quantifies the contribution of tourism consumption, predicts tourism consumption trends, and provides data support for statistical analysis and resource layout of tourism management units at all levels.

    Big data applications in tourism research: a literature review

    Abstract: Through a comprehensive analysis of the literature on tourism big data, this paper finds that: various types of big data have been applied to tourism research and have achieved rich theoretical and scientific research results; different types of big data carry different information to solve different tourism research problems; different types of big data often solve the same problem from different perspectives. Current tourism big data research still faces challenges such as data quality, data acquisition costs and privacy issues.

    Tourism Satellite Account Key Concepts and Table Explanations

    Abstract: This paper expounds the key concepts of tourism satellite accounts, including tourism and tourism value added, tourism industry and tourism industry value added, tourism expenditure and tourism consumption, tourists' cash final consumption expenditure and tourists' physical final consumption expenditure, total output and value added, etc. The paper also compares the forms of tourism satellite accounts at different spatial scales, explains the differences between the forms of tourism satellite accounts at the national and local levels, and suggests that when compiling satellite accounts, attention should be paid to their openness, extensibility and operability, so that they can be adjusted and improved in time with the future development of tourism and adapt to the new situation in the new era.
